There are tons of fat-burning tips out there and all of them a really awesome, but today we’re going to share five of them to help get you started.
Eat More Protein
Eating a diet high in protein helps promote fat loss and hypertrophy (muscle growth). Eating 40% or more of your daily caloric intake helps promote abdominal fat loss too. It boosts your levels of Peptide YY, a hormone produced by cells in the gut. This hormone is transported to the brain to increase satiety and decrease hunger.
Eat Slow Digesting Carbs
Whole grains like brown rice, oatmeal and whole wheat bread prevent insulin spikes which halt fat burning and increases fat storage. Slow digesting carbs keep insulin levels low and in a steady range.
Eat the Right Fats
Eating plenty of Omega 3 fats found in salmon, sardines and trout will not lead to fat gain but instead will help you burn off the bad fats packed onto your mid-section.
If you don’t eat fish use supplements.
Other healthy fats include olive oil, peanut butter and walnuts.
Eat More Eggs
Eggs are high in protein and promote muscle mass and strength. Studies have also shown that people who eat eggs for breakfast consumer fewer calories throughout the day and lose more weight than those who don’t eat eggs.
Eat More Grapefruit
Grapefruit—whether it’s the fruit itself or unsweetened grapefruit juice—helps reduce insulin levels. Studies show that people who eat half a grapefruit, three times a day, or drink 3 glasses of grapefruit juice each day, lose weight without dieting. So if you’re dieting and trying to lose weight, it makes sense to add grapefruit to your daily food intake.
If you can’t stand the taste you can get grapefruit supplements.
